This past Monday, November 6, the newly formed RCS Athletic Committee hosted the Fall Sports Awards Night in the multipurpose room. Each coach/coaches were able to speak about their teams, honor athletes and their accomplishments, and give out two coach’s awards per team. Here are the stats and accomplishments of the teams.
Middle School Boys’ Soccer
5-9-1 Overall and 5-9 in Conference
The team finished in 5th place in the Conference and 4th place in the Conference Tournament

Middle School Girls’ Tennis
0-7 Overall 0-7 Conference
The girls fought hard all season and they all improved from the beginning to the end of the season.

Middle School Girls’ Volleyball
15-1 Overall 14-0 Conference
The girls were Regular Season Conference Champions and TNAC Tournament Conference Champions!

High School Women’s Golf
The girls finished 3rd place in the conference and 2nd at TNAC Conference Tournament.
They won their first match in program history on 10/10/23 against the other 6 Teams!
Mallorie Jones qualified for State Regionals, where she finished 21st out of 50th, becoming the first-ever Regional Qualifier in the history of the girls’ golf program! She missed going to the State Championship by only 4 strokes.

The girls finished 3rd Place in TNAC overall and the boys finished 5th Place in TNAC overall
Both men’s and women’s varsity teams competed in the 1A Regionals.
Alexis Vander Poppen and Katie Mann both qualified for the State Championship.
Katie Mann finished 50th out of 122 runners at the State Championship.

The team finished 3rd Place in TNAC and made it to the 3rd Round of the Dual State Playoffs.
Oliva Ess, Elizabeth Ess, and Aurora Bettendorf all qualified for Regionals.
Olivia Ess qualified for the State Championship, becoming the first girl in the women’s tennis program’s history to qualify for the State Championship. She was one of 8 girls left in the state in 1A Tennis.
